BeatRoot are coming to the Groove Brno, they bring a sound rooted in 80s funk, reimagined through a modern lens.
This Slovak formation of experienced musicians builds on original compositions and a rich instrumental setup — from rhythm section and keys to a powerful horn section. Their music blends funk, jazz, rock, and gospel, driven by arrangements that combine precision with strong live energy.
Influences like Earth, Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, or Cory Wong are clearly present, but BeatRoot use them as a foundation — shaping a contemporary, high-energy sound that truly comes alive on stage.
The band made an impact already in their first year — opening the Bratislava Cultural Summer, headlining Proma Frajdej in Trnava, and performing at OravaJazz Festival alongside artists such as Peter Lipa and Grammy winners Gil Goldstein and John Daversa. From the beginning, it’s clear their ambition goes beyond playing music — they are building a live show based on groove, tight interplay, and moments of surprise.
On stage, BeatRoot operate as a single organism. A large ensemble, strong band dynamics, and space for improvisation create a concert that evolves in real time.
