Cory Henry, a true audience favorite, returns to Brno. He is one of the most distinctive musical personalities of our time — a multiple Grammy Awards winner, keyboard phenomenon, composer, producer, and performer who can get even the most reserved listener moving. A musician often described, without exaggeration, as someone who seems to have “arrived from another planet.”

Henry was born in Brooklyn, where he began playing the Hammond B3 organ as a child. He later became a key member of Snarky Puppy, earning his first Grammy with the band. In 2018, he launched his solo career and has since achieved success across the global music scene. His albums Art of Love and Something to Say helped establish his international reputation — the latter was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Progressive R&B Album category in 2022.

Over the years he has collaborated with major artists including Kanye West, Rosalía, Stevie Wonder, and Bruce Springsteen — and that’s only the beginning of the list. In 2025, he won his first Grammy for his own album Church, confirming his position as one of the most important contemporary music creators.

His current concert project The Funk Apostles is synonymous with an electrifying live show where gospel roots meet modern funk, R&B, soul, and progressive jazz textures. Critics describe his concerts as a musical whirlwind that sweeps audiences away with energy, depth, and effortless virtuosity, while Henry himself is often portrayed as the conductor of a monumental sound that completely fills and commands the space.

At the concert in Sono Music Club, audiences will experience a full-blooded live set with his band The Funk Apostles. Expect an intense and captivating evening where the groove resonates until the very last note
