Omar Lyefook was born to have a career as a musician. His father, Byron, a studio drummer, worked with Bob Marley, Horace Andy and the Rolling Stones. His younger brother, professionally known as Scratch Professor, won a Grammy and his sister is a famous singer.
Omar himself is without a doubt one of the greatest talents in Great Britain in the last 40 years. Proof of this is the list of musicians who collaborated musically with Omar, including Stevie Wonder, Leon Ware, Erykah Badu, Common, Carleen Anderson, D’Angelo, Soul II Soul’s Caron Wheeler, Angie Stone and Courtney Pine, Rodney P, Kele LeRoc, Natasha Watts or Estelle.
